Product Description
The Charcoal TruFirePit™
The Charcoal TruFirePit™ combines the performance of the original TruFirePit with a premium charcoal exterior for a darker, more distinctive appearance.
It is a powerful, portable wood-burning fire pit designed to create bigger, more impressive flames with dramatically less smoke.
Unlike a traditional open fire pit, its double-wall Vortex airflow system draws air into the base and channels it between the inner and outer walls. The heated air is then released through the upper ventilation holes, creating a secondary burn that helps ignite smoke particles before they leave the fire pit.
Once the fire has reached temperature, this produces a cleaner and more enjoyable burn - with less smoke in your face, less smell on your clothes and more time spent enjoying the fire.
Premium charcoal finish
The Charcoal TruFirePit features a deep charcoal exterior that gives the fire pit a more understated, contemporary appearance while retaining its durable stainless-steel construction.
The exposed stainless-steel top cowl and base complement the darker body and highlight the individual components of the fire pit’s airflow system.
As with any product regularly exposed to real flames, high temperatures and outdoor conditions, the finish will naturally develop signs of use over time. We recommend storing the TruFirePit indoors when it is not being used and keeping the removable upper cowl protected from the elements.
Built from stainless steel
Beneath its premium charcoal finish, the TruFirePit is constructed from durable stainless steel, selected for its strength, corrosion resistance and ability to withstand repeated exposure to high temperatures.
It has been designed for regular outdoor use while retaining the robust, premium feel that makes the TruFirePit suitable for gardens, patios, camping trips and evenings away.
Bigger flames with less smoke
The deep, wide fire chamber gives the logs room to burn properly and produces the large, visible flames that make a real wood fire so enjoyable.
There may be some initial smoke while the fire is being lit and brought up to temperature. Once the flames are established, the secondary-burn system begins burning the remaining smoke particles, dramatically reducing the amount of visible smoke produced.
Although no wood-burning fire can be completely smoke-free at every stage, the TruFirePit provides a noticeably cleaner experience than a conventional open fire pit.
Portable by design
Despite its solid stainless-steel construction, the Charcoal TruFirePit has been designed to travel.
The fire pit can be disassembled into its main components and stored inside the included carry case, making it easier to transport or store when it is not being used.
Always allow the fire pit to cool completely before dismantling, moving or placing it inside the carry case.
Raised base and protective stand
Every Charcoal TruFirePit includes a raised base and stand as standard.
The stand lifts the fire pit away from the surface beneath it, helping to reduce direct heat transfer and allowing air to circulate underneath. However, the fire pit and the area surrounding it will still become extremely hot during use.
It should always be positioned on a stable, level and suitably heat-resistant surface, with adequate clearance from furniture, structures, plants and other combustible materials.
The Trufirepit heat mat is designed to give extra protection to any surface the fire pit sits on.
Removable ashtray for easier cleaning
The internal fire grate allows ash to fall into the removable ashtray below.
Once the fire has completely extinguished and the fire pit is fully cool, the ashtray can be removed and emptied. This makes clearing away the remains of the fire significantly easier than cleaning a conventional open fire pit.
Make sure all ash and embers are completely cold before removing or disposing of them.
Stainless-steel safety top and upper cowl
The exposed stainless-steel upper cowl forms an important part of the TruFirePit airflow system.
It helps direct air towards the centre of the fire, supports the Vortex effect and creates the distinctive flame pattern produced by the secondary-burn holes. It also provides a more controlled opening around the top of the fire pit.
The cowl and every other metal component will become extremely hot during use and should never be touched while the fire is burning.
Natural stainless-steel colour change
The exposed stainless-steel components can naturally change colour when subjected to high temperatures. With use, the upper cowl may develop shades of gold, bronze, blue or purple.
This process is known as heat patina and is caused by a thin oxide layer forming on the stainless-steel surface. It is completely normal, does not affect performance and gives every well-used TruFirePit its own distinctive appearance.
Ready for outdoor cooking
The Charcoal TruFirePit can also be transformed into an outdoor cooking setup using the separately available TruFirePit Hub and cast-iron Skillet.
The Hub positions the skillet securely above the fire, creating a practical setup for cooking burgers, steaks, breakfasts and one-pan meals over real flames.
The Hub and Skillet are not included with the standard fire pit. If you want to cook on your TruFirePit, choose the Charcoal Bundle, which includes the fire pit, the required cooking accessories and a lid.

The Charcoal TruFirePit produces an open flame and becomes extremely hot during use.
It should only be operated outdoors by a responsible adult and must be kept a safe distance from children, pets, furniture, fencing, buildings and combustible materials.
Never touch, dismantle, move or place the fire pit into its carry case while it is hot. After the flames have gone out, allow at least one hour, and longer where necessary, for every component and any remaining ash to cool fully.

Smoke Comparison
Frequently Asked Questions
Explain Smokeless?
When you first light the pit there will be a small amount of initial smoke, as soon as the logs and flames are roaring there will be none. This is due to the vortex technology of the TruFirePit™.
Benefits of Smokeless?
No smelly clothes, no smelly hair, no coughing with faces full of smoke. Better health due to not inhaling loads of smoke and the potential toxins inside smoke. Better for the environment with less creosote being released. You also won`t get any complaints from neighbours or in smokeless areas! All in all a much more pleasant experience.
How Hot Does the Pit Get?
Made of stainless steel the TruFirePit™ will of course get hot, keep children, pets and furniture at a safe distance away from the actual pit. Always only operate a TruFirePit™ with a responsible adult present.
Colour Changes?
Stainless steel changes colour when it gets hot due to oxidation. The heat forms a thin oxide layer on the surface, and depending on the temperature, it reflects light differently—causing colours like gold, blue, purple, or bronze to appear. It’s totally normal and doesn’t affect performance—just a cool heat patina!
How do i clean my TruFirePit™?
When your wood is burnt through completely, and your fire pit is cool, remove the ash pan from under your base plate and discard of it.
Is my TruFirePit™ Portable?
Yes you can (obviously when cool) transport your TruFirePit™ wherever you want and use it!
Can I Touch my TruFirePit™?
TruFirePits™ should not be touched while burning. Once the flames have died out, you should wait at least an hour before touching it with bare hands.
I bought the fire pit and the lid to start with then added the cooking bundle. It’s an amazing piece of kit, I have used it a few times now and it really sets of the garden as a centrepiece, the heat has really given the stainless steel an attractive patina and the heat it puts out is phenomenal. A small tip is to use Namibian hardwood logs for a longer burn. In addition to cooking on the skillet, the family gather round with toasting forks for things like marshmallows etc. This is the best value for money item I ever spent on garden equipment.
We wanted to spend more time in the garden with family and friends even when the evenings get darker and colder. Its been a while since I bought it, and still looks the smae and works the same as the day I bought it.
